Note: Scholarship proceeds are determined each year.

Also, in 2008, the S.P.F.F.B.F. is also offering one national scholarship, to be awarded to one burn survivor who meets the requirements listed on the web page of this site. We are proud to of named all three of these scholarships after Firefighter  Michael C. Reilly, who passed away in the line of duty in August 2006.

Support of Stratford  Firefighters Burned in the Line of Duty

The SPFFBF will be there to help the families of firefighters burned in the line of duty. This will be done by coordinating with the families the needed necessities to help them through the time their loved one is being treated at the burn center.

Fire Prevention and Education

The S.P.F.F.B.F. has in place a Fire Hawks Program designed to work with juvinile fire starters. We also work with the Fire Marshals office in the Town of Stratford, CT, by holding fire prevention fairs resulting in our educating the children of Stratford about the dangers of fire and Burn injuries.

Connecticut Burns Care Foundation's

Children's Burn Camp

We continue to support the Children's Burn Camp through our fundraising efforts, attending work parties at this camp and making presentations for this organization on behalf of our young burn survivors.

Bridgeport Hospital Burn Center

We are working very closely with the hospital, to develop and fund a suite, in which the family members of patients being treated in the burn center can stay while their loved one is being treated. I nformation on our fundraising campaign will be posted shortly.
